An original Benetton rugby in white with bright green bands across the chest and arms, a green collar and cuffs, and the Benetton logo set across the front.
In the 1980s this shirt was everywhere. It was worn by Italy's Paninari and Britain's football casuals, who treated Italian sportswear as a uniform, and it became one of the defining pieces of the decade. In 2019 the design was reissued in partnership with Benetton, and it has been in demand again ever since, which has sent collectors looking for originals like this one.
This is the real thing, with the original "benetton" label and made in Italy. The cotton and the green are both in excellent condition.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The fabric and colour are both strong.
Fit: 44" around the chest with wide 23" shoulders and a 27" back length, a boxy, slightly short cut. Tagged XL, it wears more like a modern men's M to L. Women's S to L will wear it loose and easy.
