A 1990s Benetton Formula 1 button-down, cut from soft light-blue chambray and dressed the way the team dressed for the paddock.
The front carries sponsor patches including AKAI, Sparco and BBS alongside a Benetton Formula patch, set above two buttoned chest pockets. Inside is the original Benetton Formula 1 trade mark label with its rainbow flag, tagged size L. It is the kind of everyday team piece that rarely survived, because it was made to be worn.
Benetton bought the Toleman team in 1985 and raced as Benetton Formula from 1986, bringing the brand's colour and confidence into the pit lane. By the mid-1990s the team had won back-to-back drivers' titles with Michael Schumacher, and its apparel became some of the most recognisable of the decade.
Worn open over a white tee or buttoned with denim, it carries the era easily.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. There is some yellowing on the collar, shown in the photos. The patches are intact and fabric in excellent condition.
Fit: 44" around the chest with 19.5" shoulders and a 30" back length, so it wears trim for a tagged L, closer to a modern men's M. Size up from your usual if you want it roomier. Women's S to L can wear it as a relaxed overshirt.
